Who are you?
I’m an Associate Director of Communications, Production at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas. I publish a quarterly magazine, write/edit articles, produce video, design graphics, craft communication strategies….that sort of thing.

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
Supplementing weekly worship, Bible study, small group community, and Youth small group leadership, the internet provides unlimited, 24-hour access to devotionals, articles, videos, blogs, social networks, and a myriad of other means to connect with other believers, grow in faith, become inspired, and transform our world for Christ.

What website or technology has impacted you most?
Blogs, Facebook, and Twitter have connected me to a Christian community that inspires and motivates me. Having been a former full-time video producer, I have a natural affinity for the power of video to make a profound impact in people’s lives.

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
A video that I shot and edited last year was the telling of one family’s journey through the eminent loss of their first-born daughter due to a rare metabolic disorder. It is their story of God’s sustaining faithfulness and grace through their unimaginable circumstance of loss and grief. In the 20 years I have been doing communications, it is, to date, the most significant story I’ve produced. And it has had an irreversible impact on my faith and life.

Who are you?
I am the Videographer, Photographer, and Founder of a small media ministry called Nailed Free Media, and have only been at this less then a year but praise God for what I’ve been given. This is my passion and ministry; telling stories through media.

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
I use Facebook and Twitter to post bible verses, statements about Christ, or something God has put on my heart. I also make videos telling the message of Jesus Christ, and His love for us.

What website or technology has impacted you most?
The technology that has impacted my the most would be the wonders of Apple, Adobe, and YouTube. Even though I don’t own a Mac; I’ve seen first hand that it’s a ┬ámedia based computer. As for Adobe, I use it everyday to make, or edit the project I’m working on. Now YouTube is where I go to find out new techniques for video and photography.

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
My faith has grown leaps and bounds in the short time God has presented me with my ministry because “For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37). I have also made connections with people, and due to Facebook I’ve been able to keep them.

Who are you?
I am resident of Chicago, IL, where I serve as the Interim Director of Communications at Park Community Church. Park is a faith community of 2,500 people who have a vision to transform lives, renew the city of Chicago, and impact the world. I manage all the communication that takes place at Park. This includes, social media, web, print, and verbal communication. It is my passion to discover new and creative ways to communicate the Gospel.

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
I am passionate about using the mediums that are available to us to communicate the Gospel. Through the internet, and social media we have such a great opportunity to reach, and interact with those on a daily basis who we normally wouldn’t have the opportunity to.

What website or technology has impacted you most?
Facebook. There are many other social networks, and mediums that have been created since the boom of the internet, but none have come close to creating the “social” web like Facebook has. The opportunities for interaction that Facebook continues to create are constantly astounding me.

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
The constant tension in my life is ensuring that the internet is not the end of relationships. I am always reminding myself that the goal of cultivating relationships online is to see them eventually take place in a face-to-face way.

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
The Bible encourages us to use a variety of mediums to connect, share, and spead the Message. Digital technology is just one more medium. Plus, I am a fan of Gabe Taviano.

What website or technology has impacted you most?
I read the stories of life-change on a regular basis. www.yoursecretname.com

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
A new medium requires a new application of ethics and wisdom. Technology requires me to rethink the way I apply Biblical principles.

A child of God learning to walk joyfully in obedience. Entrusted with using the talents that God has given me as the principal of Worthy Image, a small visual communications studio that serves to provide quality creative design and exceptional customer service to businesses and organizations that positively impact the lives of others.

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
Using the resources and technology available to ultimately take part in leading people to the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ via the web or digital mediums.

What website or technology has impacted you most?
The use of Content Management System based websites like Joomla, WordPress and Drupal have provided better functionality for small businesses and churches to provide better services online.

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
The true work of what we do is the work that remains when the power goes out. All this technology is useless without power. While the power is on, this technology must ultimately result in offering the gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18. My faith rests on God’s power.
