Who are you?
I’m a Worship Pastor for St. Simons Community Church and the Founder of my own blog at FredMcKinnon.Com and a worship-leadership site, TheWorshipCommunity.Com.  As if that weren’t enough, I also own an e-commerce business.

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
I’ve been able to leverage my digital life for increased influence for God’s purpose.  Through blogging and sites like TheWorshipCommunity.Com we can lead, equip, and encourage others in ministry.

What website or technology has impacted you most?
One of the most incredible tools that I’ve been impacted by is PlanningCenterOnline.Com.  It’s am amazing resource and now, even after nearly 3 years of use, I’m amazed by how incredible it’s been for us.

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
My faith has grown as I’ve experienced the challenges and rewards of “leading” online.  There is great reward in knowing your blog, article, or song has blessed someone and led them further along their journey with Christ.  At the same time, my faith has been challenged – through negative comments, feedback, and even through viewpoints that challenge my paradigms and ways of thinking.

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
I feel like the way I live my life is an example of what Jesus Christ has done for me. I have an opportunity to train on a daily basis and though that come in contact with many organizations and vendors on a daily basis and I hope the way I interact with them and talk about my faith will impact their lives and open up a door/opportunity where I share what Jesus has done in my life.

What website or technology has impacted you most?
Social Media. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr and others have changed the way hospitals interact and control/not control their brand.

This has opened a unique market for me with my technology and hospital background. I very much enjoy working with hospitals and helping them overcome struggles and capitalize on opportunities in this new space.

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
It is just a testament that the Lord has the best plan in mind. There are many jobs in my past I wondered why I did not get. The Lord simply lead me down a path with struggles and opportunities that ultimately ended with me doing something I did not even know existed a hand full of years ago.

The Lord is GOOD!
