Who are you?
Sinner saved by grace, Presbyterian, husband, father, son, industrial engineer, computer nerd, technologist, PhD, academic, teacher, learner, systems thinker, and book lover

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
As a Christian and an engineer, I seek to learn what God has revealed in His word about how we are to create and use technology. I apply this to the various digital technologies I interact with (and create) every day. Also, I train future K-12 teachers to teach their student how to use and think about digital technology

What website or technology has impacted you most?
I suppose you mean besides electricity, indoor plumbing, and book publishing? Probably my first computer, which was a Tandy Color Computer 2. It was my first chance to really explore computers, programming, and graphic creation that started me on my fascination with digital technology.

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
The internet certainly does both. We can access so many writings, art, seminary classes, and friends and acquaintances to uplift us and strengthen our faith. It is also a source of great temptation, not just in lust or greed, but in its temptation to waste our time seeking the new and exciting rather than be present with our families and neighbors.

Who are you?
I’m a husband, father, a follower of Jesus and the Bible is my compass for living. After 20 years of military service and eight years as a health educator in health care and YMCA settings, I’ve stepped out as the Founder of Faith and Health Connection to teach people biblical principles for health and wholeness.

What makes you a Digital Disciple?
Almost daily I use Twitter to send out tweets of affirmation based on scripture. I share the gospel though content on my site and in my blog posts. As Vice President of Christian Coach Institute, I assist my wife in training Christian Life Coaches in a Webinar format in ourĀ life coach courses.

What website or technology has impacted you most?
Using WordPress. With the help of my son and a few other professionals, I’ve been able to learn this tool pretty well to build and maintain my website and blog.

How has your faith grown or been tested through technology?
I have a fairly good dose of ADD tendencies and the web can sometimes pull me in too easily. I have to discipline myself so as not to spend too much time exploring sites for information, beyond what I am actually looking for. When I spend more time than really needed on the internet, it takes me away from what i could be doing for the Kingdom of God.

How do you express your faith through technology?
I express my faith through technology by letting my life speak for itself. I’m not the most outgoing person in the world, but I do what I can to let Christ shine through me everyday, by investing in the lives of those people closest to me.
